Summary
Whether you want to work in a stand-alone human resource management (HRM) department, be involved in leadership development or hone your expertise in employment law and relations, there are a growing number of job opportunities for those who put people at the heart of what they do.
This course is designed to prepare you for a career in HRM whilst also offering you the opportunity to apply for professional accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Professional Development (CIPD).
Informed by the latest research and professional practice in human resource management and development (HRM&D), the programme enables you to gain specialist knowledge as well as develop critical thinking and research skills.
On completion of the programme you will have achieved the equivalent of the CIPD Advanced Diploma, which means you will be eligible to apply for new Associate or to upgrade to Chartered Status of CIPD membership.
Wherever you are in your HRM career, this course will help you develop the intellectual, leadership, professional and transferable skills employers look for.

Entry requirements | Applicants should normally have: A minimum of a 2:2 honours degree, or Council for National Academic Awards (CNAA) degree, or a Newcastle Business School Diploma in Management Development. Or an equivalent professional qualification with two and half years managerial/supervisory experience. Chartered-status members of the CIPD may progress directly to the one-year top-up Masters degree. Applicants who are CIPD students or who hold an associate CIPD membership must complete the full two-year programme.
