University of Bristol launches £2,000 PG scholarships

University of BristolThe University of Bristol has launched the new Bristol Master’s Scholarship, awarding £2,000 each to talented postgraduate taught students from the UK.

Applicants must be from an underrepresented group and have already applied to study at the University of Bristol for 2022/23.

As part of the University of Bristol’s commitment to diversifying its postgraduate student body, the Bristol Master’s Scholarship aims to increase accessibility to students from groups who are underrepresented at postgraduate level. 

Beginning this year, incoming postgraduate students from widening participation backgrounds who have an offer of study for one of the University’s 2022/23 postgraduate taught programmes can apply now. There are 50 scholarships available and successful students will be given £2,000 each to help fund their studies at Bristol.

  • To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
  • Have applied to study a full-time 2022/23 Postgraduate Taught programme at the University of Bristol (MA, MSc or MRes only)
  • Be from a widening participation background
  • Be a UK national or have refugee/asylum seeker status
  • Have a first-class honours undergraduate degree or will do by 31st May 2022

 

Students who already have a first-class honours undergraduate degree can apply now and the first deadline is Monday 28th February 2022. Students who do not yet have a first-class undergraduate degree must apply by the second deadline of Tuesday 31st May 2022. Those unsuccessful in the first selection round will automatically be considered with the May applications.
