University of Aberdeen offers innovative online Short Course Route to a masters degree
For those looking for a flexible and affordable way to earn a masters degree online, the University of Aberdeen’s Short Course Route offers an ideal alternative to traditional study.
Designed to fit around professional and personal commitments, this study pathway allows learners to work towards a masters degree at their own pace, by completing online short courses individually, term by term.
Many of the online short courses offered by the University of Aberdeen are part of full masters programs. Each completed course earns academic credits that count towards the relevant degree. Once enough credits are accumulated, students can apply to transfer onto the full masters program whenever they are ready.
One of the key benefits of this route is the payment structure. There are no upfront degree fees – students only pay for the short courses they choose to study each term. This allows them to spread the cost, making postgraduate education more financially manageable.
The Short Course Route also offers flexibility in terms of pace and workload. Students decide how many short courses to take each term, giving them control over how much time and effort they can commit.
