Swansea named as Top 10 UK University for Environmental Performance
Swansea University has been ranked UK top 10 university for environment performance and ethical issues in the latest league table complied by People and Planet, published by The Guardian.
People and Planet assess universities against 13 key areas, from energy sources and water reduction to sustainable food and investment. They then award each university a degree-style classification. Swansea University was again judged to be a first-class institution in the top 10 of all 154 UK universities assessed.
Speaking about this remarkable achievement, Swansea University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Paul Boyle, commented: “Despite the challenges of the past 12 months, I am incredibly proud that we have been able to retain our top ten position within the League. This has only been possible thanks to the fantastic efforts of colleagues from across our University, as well as the commitment and enthusiasm of our students.”
