NFTS offers students help with the cost of living

National Film and Television SchoolThe National Film and Television School (NFTS) is helping students cope with the cost-of-living crisis.

Recognising the fact that the rising cost of living can pose a significant barrier for students wishing to pursue a career in the creative industries, the NFTS is actively implemented some practical solutions to try and alleviate their financial burden.

These initiatives include:

  • Daily complimentary breakfast available for all students
  • Free tea and coffee available all day in communal areas
  • Organic and environmentally sustainable sanitary products available free of charge
  • Introduction of the ‘Lunch Club’, giving students the chance to purchase four weeks’ worth of lunch meals for the price of three


As well as these cost-saving initiatives, the NFTS offers more scholarship and bursary funding to British students, relative to the size of their student body, than almost any other educational institution in the UK – with more than £950,000 of funding given out in total in the last year.
