Build your business – full or part time – with a masters at UCL

UCL School of ManagementUCL School of Management offers a Masters in Entrepreneurship that is designed to help driven individuals launch high impact, innovative businesses.

The program is incredibly hands-on and taught with a ‘learn by doing’ approach. While, like any UCL masters degree, a rigorous base of research underlies the course, the emphasis is on supporting students to develop the skills needed to succeed as a CEO and/or co-founder.

Right from the first few weeks, students will be interviewing prospective customers, and subsequently learn how to do ‘rapid prototyping’, using the tools of ‘lean’ entrepreneurship and pitching new ideas. Using UCL’s networks and reputation as a starting point to access London’s thriving entrepreneurship scene, students will find or develop a founding team and learn how to raise investor finance or ‘bootstrap’ their business.

This masters was the first of its kind in Europe, for its single-minded focus on giving students the knowledge, skills and network to start up a business successfully. UCL prides itself on its rate of successful start-up creation and work every year to launch more successful start-ups.

More than 100 successful start-ups have been born out of the Masters in Entrepreneurship, including:

  • Double Dutch
  • POQ
  • Smartzer
  • Outmatch (formerly WePow)
  • PlayBrush

UCL School of Management students will benefit from access to London’s amazing start-up ecosystem, rated in the top two ecosystems in the world by the Global Startup Ecosystem Report 2021.

Students will study in the highest classroom in Europe on Level 50 of the iconic One Canada Square Building, right in the heart of Canary Wharf, and have access to UCL’s renowned incubator facilities at UCL Innovation and Enterprise. They will also have the opportunity to spend time on UCL’s Bloomsbury campus, home to UCL for almost 200 years.
