This programme is offered jointly by faculty from the Department of History, Mary Immaculate College and the Department of History, University of Limerick. The programme meets the needs of graduates in history, or in related disciplines (e.g. Irish studies, human geography, archaeology, anthropology) who wish to carry out historical research, especially in relation to a particular locality. The course is particularly suitable for those hoping to proceed to PhD programmes in history, but also facilitates those interested in historical research for their own personal development.
