Summary

This programme covers the whole breadth of public health, encompassing low-, middle- and high-income countries. It reflects local, national and international public health agendas, and provides the opportunity to explore public health issues in depth with academics, researchers and practitioners. After a series of compulsory core modules, you will be able to focus on a specialised stream of study, including the option to follow a general public health programme.

This stream provides the knowledge and skills necessary to improve the health of populations, communities and particular groups across low-, middle- and high-income settings. The emphasis is on the use, development and critical evaluation of conceptual models; evidence and methods of analysis; and on practical, effective interventions.
Graduates work in healthcare, health policy and public health organisations at local, national and international level in service and academic public health roles.
