Summary

Learn how to teach science and chemistry to 11 to 16-year-olds with this National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL)-accredited PGCE course. You’ll attend sessions at both London Met and one of our partnership schools in London, learning the principles of teaching chemistry and getting the vital hands-on experience necessary for later employment. Trainees on our PGCE Secondary courses achieve high results, with 95% receiving an Ofsted good or outstanding grade by the end of the course. In the most recent (2015-16) Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey, 100% of graduates from this course were in work or further study within six months. Department for Education (DfE) bursaries are available for this course.
