Learn to support athletes’ competitive performance, recovery, and overall health by providing them with specialist and evidence-based nutritional advice.
As part of this course, you’ll:
- Study an academically challenging and vocationally relevant programme, underpinned by evidence-based practice
- Gain a thorough understanding of the multidisciplinary aspects of sport and exercise nutrition
- Study the principles and applications of sport and exercise nutrition in practice
- Explore scientific concepts that promote an understanding of issues in the study of sport and exercise nutrition

This course aims to meet the professional standards set by leading industry organisations. It was the first to be accredited by the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENR), the national register for qualified sport and exercise nutritionists. Upon completion of MSc Sport & Exercise Nutrition, you’ll be able to apply for graduate registration with the SENR.

As well as MSc Sport & Exercise Nutrition (180 credits), we offer other postgraduate study routes in sport and exercise nutrition which can be studied full-time or part-time:
- PG Cert Sport & Exercise Nutrition (60 credits)

- Enhanced physiology laboratories
- Enhanced strength and conditioning spaces

- Indoor sprint track and rooftop walking track and terrace
**Build your experience**
Alongside building your subject-specific knowledge, you’ll develop practical and soft skills. You’ll practise using your expertise through a variety of physiology labs, nutrition workshops and other applied sessions. This course will enable you to gain real-world experience working to support a case study. In addition, you’ll have opportunities to apply for work in an applied sport science setting with elite athletes under the guidance of a registered SENR practitioner. This will enable you to develop professional skills relevant to a variety of work-related settings.
