Diabetes is a long-term condition affecting over 460 million adults worldwide, and its prevalence is predicted to increase to 700 million in 2045; posing further health and economic challenges globally.

The overall aim of the Clinical Care and Management in Diabetes programme is to equip health professionals, with advanced applied skills in formulating diabetes care to improve patient outcomes. The programme is delivered via an interactive online learning process that will enable students to acquire advanced practice skills in the assessment and management of diabetes. The emphasis throughout the programme is on learning as a means to improve care outcomes for people living with diabetes and in the prevention and management of diabetes complications. The specific aims of the programme are:
