Study for a Masters at St Andrews
We currently offer more than 120 taught postgraduate (Masters) programmes across our 21 academic Schools, covering subjects from business and management, social sciences and the arts and humanities, to medicine and the sciences.

Our Graduate School for Interdisciplinary Studies runs programmes that focus on the ability to work across traditional subject boundaries – an essential skill in today’s workplace. Our interdisciplinary programmes draw on expertise and skills from across the University to deliver innovative courses such as International Development Practice, Conservation Studies, Global Social and Political Thought, Digital Health and Contemporary Studies.

Research and Research Degrees at St Andrews
Research at St Andrews brings together leading academics from around the globe to explore and challenge the world around us. We are one of the most research-intensive universities in the UK and produce research with a global reach from our world-class facilities. The quality of our research publications was ranked 1st in Scotland and 14th in the UK across Science, the Arts, Divinity and Medicine in the results of the REF 2014.

There are opportunities to study a range of research degrees such as PhDs and research-based Masters degrees.

International students
We have a large number of international postgraduate students studying at St Andrews and provide a range of support for international students. We also offer a number of pre-sessional courses for students who use English as an additional language.
