The University of Buckingham
The University of Buckingham
We offer a wide range of master’s degrees, including MSc, MA, MBA and LLM programmes. We also offer a number of other postgraduate taught programmes, including short courses, postgraduate certificates, graduate diplomas and courses in Education. Taught programmes have a similar amount of contact (teaching) time as an undergraduate degree. They are made up of a range of modules that are delivered through lectures, seminars and tutorials, and will enable you to develop a higher level of expertise.
Our postgraduate programmes are available in a varied mix of subject areas:
“Buckingham helped me to achieve my education goal through support, encouragement and inspiration.” – Samantha, Computing student.
We also offer a range of postgraduate research degrees that are more specialised. These degrees require independent learning, alongside working one-on-one with a supervisor.
Many of our MA / MSc programmes can be undertaken on a full-time or part-time basis and several have the option of being completed 100% online.
The University’s dedication to teaching quality and student life has resulted in us being rated highly by our students and in national surveys. We are proud to have achieved an 82% satisfaction rate in the National Student Survey 2021 (NSS). As well as this, the Good University Guide 2021 ranked us top 10 in England for Student Satisfaction.
Employability and Career Progression
We pride ourselves on the fact that all of our degree programmes support students with developing the professional skills they need to either progress into employment or to access the next stage of their career advancement. Critical thinking, data analysis, report-writing, communication skills and decision making, are all crucial skills for any job role. We support our students to cultivate these transferable skills and be able to apply them to the industry they wish to work in.
Students on many of our postgraduate programmes will be eligible to receive the Government’s Master’s Loan.
We also offer a number of scholarships to assist postgraduate students with their tuition fees and the cost of studying.
*Discounts do not apply to all postgraduate courses; please check eligibility criteria carefully.
We have Open Days and campus tours taking place regularly throughout the year. Book via our website to come and explore our campus, meet our academic teams, speak with current students and get all the information you need about fees, accommodation and study support.
