We’re Keele University and we’re different

Founded in 1949, we value our excellence in teaching as highly as our global research. At Keele, we are committed to providing our students with outstanding teaching facilities on campus which include the newly developed David Attenborough Laboratories and Keele Business School. Our students will benefit from our highly rated library facilities and have one-to-one support from our established academics. Keele has a beautiful 600-acre campus in North Staffordshire and is located beside the market town of Newcastle-under-Lyme and evolving city of Stoke-on-Trent. Our central location in England gives our students convenient access to and from Birmingham and Manchester, by train just 45 minutes away and London just 90 minutes.

Study opportunities for you

Whether you want to develop your career in Health, Humanities, Business, Social Sciences or Natural Sciences, Keele can offer you a course to help progress your career opportunities.

As a postgrad, you will work closely with colleagues related to your area of study and research, alongside those from other disciplines across the university. These connections are facilitated by spaces and events where you are able to thrive. Our interdisciplinary institutes are undertaking cutting edge research that aims to tackle some of society’s most pressing challenges. They bring students, academics and researchers together from across the University, and serve as hubs that stimulate collaboration and debate.

In addition to our on-campus postgraduate courses, we have introduced 100% online Master’s programmes that give you the flexibility and freedom to study from anywhere in the world. This allows you to study alongside your current role and around your other lifestyle commitments.

Our campus and thriving postgraduate community
The student body at Keele represents over 120 different nationalities, so it’s safe to say we are a welcoming campus and that we truly recognise the benefits of such a diverse population of cultures and ideas.

Keele campus is vibrant and friendly, nestled in 600 acres of countryside in the heart of the UK in Staffordshire, England. With town life on your doorstep, including Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme just a short drive away and only 45 minutes from Manchester and 1.5 hours from London on the train, Keele offers great links to major cities.

Our campus provides a range of amenities, including accommodation, cafes, convenience shop, bank, post office, library, pharmacy and much more. Keele continues to score highly in student satisfaction. It is also one of the few universities that offers a Postgraduate Association (KPA), which is an equivalent SU, but specifically for our postgraduate students. The KPA offers postgraduates support on various aspects, such as finance, study and social events and conferences.
