You’ll be able to develop your skills on a rural 360-hectare campus as part of a 4,000-strong student body – passionate about performance, academia and business. You can choose from taught and research master’s degrees, as well as PhDs, in animal, agriculture, equine, sport and veterinary subjects.

We’re the only educational institution in the UK with its own Championship rugby team – Hartpury RFC – and Gloucester Rugby is based on campus. We also support Olympic equestrian champions to prepare for competition.

Our PhD students assist in teaching, work with students on live research projects and produce new research, which informs our curriculum. Our MRes degrees are unique – you can choose to undertake your research in any one of our specialist areas, providing we can supervise it.
We even offer paid teaching and research assistant roles alongside studies to strengthen learning and experience in specific areas, and provide a helpful wage.
We’ll consider you for a course if you have worked to a high level in industry, even if you don’t have relevant subject qualifications. Our programmes are offered flexibly to fit around commitments, including work, family and sport.
