Meet Kumud

“My reason for choosing Cardiff University, was its excellence in terms of teaching, it's part of the Russell Group and its contribution towards research and development in the world."

Kumud is from India and chose to pursue an MSc in Data Science and Analytics at Cardiff University.

During her studies, Kumud worked on some incredible projects and most recently has been collaborating with the School of Medicine to work on data that can prevent babies from developing Sepsis.

After Kumud finishes her studies in September, Kumud plans to work within mathematical research and has found the careers support, within the School of Maths ‘invaluable’.

Kumud explains all about her MSc on video.

Meet Naomi

"I would absolutely encourage people to take up a masters in mathematics, it’s exciting, its new and it’s really made me an independent researcher.”

Naomi is a current MSc Mathematics student at Cardiff University and is currently working on her final year project.

After studying at Cardiff University for her undergraduate study, Naomi has found that continuing as a postgraduate has been an experience where she's able to further develop her skills, ready for the next chapter in her career.
