Our Faculty of Arts, Design and Media offers internationally-renowned arts training provision, with world-class teaching, excellent facilities and professional development opportunities. The Faculty is home to a number of Schools and a specialist music and acting conservatoire:
The Faculty is internationally recognised for its creative education, with a history dating back to 1843. Our links with industry include Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH), Cartier UK, Saatchi and Saatchi, the BBC, Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe, Microsoft’s Rare Studio and Rockstar North.
We offer a wide variety of creative degrees, spanning Acting and Voice, Architecture and Design, Art, English, Fashion and Textiles, Jewellery and Related Products, Media and Multimedia Technology, Music and Visual Communication. Some of our courses offer start dates in both January and September, and many offer a part-time route.

Many of our courses offer you a professional placement route which gives you the opportunity to undertake a six-month placement in industry, meaning you qualify with valuable experience.
We remain at the cutting-edge of new ideas by challenging both staff and students to excel in research and studies. Our staff are experts in their respective fields and many of them continue to practise in industry, ensuring that you receive access to the latest thinking, activity and professional networks.
