Research in Education is based around these main research areas:

  • Inclusion/ Special Educational Needs and Behaviour Analysis 
  • Literacy development and Interventions 
  • Teacher Education, Professional Learning and Education Leadership 

We can offer supervision on research degrees within any of these areas. We have a particular research specialism in the area of bilingualism and bilingual education. In the most recent Research Excellence Framework (REF 2014), work submitted by our academics as part of the Modern Languages and Linguistics Unit of Assessment helped Bangor University achieve joint 2nd place in the UK for research impact within the discipline. 

How to Apply
Online applications can now be made by prospective applicants for all postgraduate taught programmes and postgraduate research programmes except Initial Teacher Training applications which should be made via the UCAS Teacher Training website.
