Summary
The School of Finance and Accounting (SFA) comprises about 40 full-time staff who undertake research in all key areas of finance and accounting.
The School provides a conducive research environment and nurtures early career and talented researchers. We possess state-of-the-art technology such as the Financial Markets Suite and the upcoming FinTech lab. In addition to the comprehensive research training and development workshops, a doctoral candidate would also benefit from participating in seminars delivered by leading figures from the field of finance and accounting. You will have the opportunity to meet and network with thriving and international faculty; thus, fostering a collaborative and engaging approach to research.

| Entry requirements | Applicants should have a minimum classification of 2.1 in their first degree or equivalent and preferably a master's degree (or masters degree pending). Applicants whose first degree has not been studied in English should have IELTS 6.5 overall and 6.0 in all elements. Submissions for this award will consist of a coherent body of work which is of the same quality, rigour and volume as required of a standard PhD in your field and which constitutes an original contribution to knowledge. Publications considered appropriate for this route can include books and book chapters, refereed journal papers. The body of work may not include any material produced more than ten years before the date of submission. Applicants need to submit a research proposal of 2000 words which should include a list of applicant's publications with dates, word count, percentage of contribution for any collaborative work and confirmation from co-authors of this percentage. References are normally required and if not provided with your application will be requested at a later date. |
