Summary
This one-year postgraduate course is specifically designed to prepare you for teaching in international settings. It will equip you to be a reflective, competent and professionally aware educator through a unique blended learning programme that includes:

An intensive four day virtual induction led by Associate Professors from Warwick.

A minimum of 20 ‘Live’ online sessions in Subject Studies, Professional Enquiry and Professional Practice modules throughout the year. These will take place at 11am (GMT) and are 2.5 hours in length.

Completion of a Professional Digital Portfolio (PDP), two 1000-word reflective pieces at Master's level, a Master’s level graded Viva Voce and final assessment guided by the International Teachers’ Standards.

The completion of two Master’s level assignments, one based on a phase-related issue and one on a comparative international theme.

Teaching practice with assessment points and a summative lesson observation from a Warwick tutor (either online or in person).

Four personal tutorials led by your tutor at Warwick, four tripartites involving yourself, your university tutor and your school mentor and on-going mentor support provided by schools throughout the year.

It has been awarded "Outstanding" provider status by the British government standard (OFSTED). Our iQTS International programme was one of five inspected as part of the DfE iQTS pilot inspections and has been awarded grade 1.
Qualified Teacher Status in England and Wales Qualified Teacher Status in England and Wales is conferred by the Teaching Agency on behalf of the Secretary of State for Education (England) and the Minister for Education and Skills (Wales) and not by universities. The PGCE international programme does not offer a licence to teach in the UK.
