Summary
MSc Applied Psychology in Fashion has been developed to address the need of the fashion industry for psychologically literate graduates who possess relevant skills in research, analysis, information synthesis, communication, IT and data handling.
What can you expect?
The course has been accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). BPS accreditation is a high-quality benchmarking process that prospective students and employers understand and value. It offers graduates the opportunity to apply for Graduate membership of the Society. With further study, Graduates of this course could apply to become Chartered Psychologists. Accreditation is evidence that the course meets BPS requirements in covering and assessing learning on core areas of psychology through promoting psychology as a science.
By applying the scientific study of human behaviour in the context of fashion, students on the course develop the ability to make a real difference in the world of fashion and business. Graduates are able to investigate, analyse, interpret and predict human behaviour in a broad range of contexts relevant to fashion and business. The course enables students to develop and more importantly, understand, the skills and attributes demanded by employers in many different roles within and beyond the fashion industries.
This course is based at John Prince’s Street, London College of Fashion’s most central site. Located at the heart of Oxford Circus the site has convenient access to every high street shop that London has to offer. The local areas of Marylebone, Mayfair and Soho are home to many of London’s main attractions, points of interest and museums.
