Summary

We are internationally recognised as a team of interdisciplinary experts in studying disorders related to the ear, nose, throat (ENT) and related structures of the head and neck.

We utilise high-tech hearing labs and a wide range of methodologies to:

  • study the pathophysiology of and improve the diagnosis and treatment of ENT problems, such as hearing difficulties, tinnitus or hyperacusis, and other related conditions

  • develop and assess hearing devices including hearing-aids and cochlear implants; improve communication behaviour

  • promote the management and treatments in ENT, including enhanced audiological measurements, neuromodulation and cell therapy.

Core research themes/topics:

  • ear, nose and throat (ENT)

  • head and neck disorders

  • hearing and listening

  • tinnitus and hyperacusis

  • auditory measurements and assessments

  • hearing aid development and evaluation, including: hearing-aids and cochlear implants
