Summary
The Public Health and Epidemiology community research themes include a range of areas in public health, such as commercial determinants of health (tobacco, alcohol, unhealthy diet, gambling), global health research and educational research in public health as well as clinical epidemiology (gastrointestinal, respiratory, liver disease, rare diseases) and health psychology.
Our research staff have expertise in wide range of approaches for research including primary data collection, large data analysis, qualitative research and evidence synthesis. Our funding portfolio include large grants for public health and epidemiology research at local, national and international level. The NCPHE incorporates the Nottingham Centre for Evidence Based Healthcare, which is an internationally accredited centre of excellence for evidence synthesis.
