Our Sustainable Engineering (Energy & Power) with Industrial Practice course will equip you with the knowledge and skills to address current and future energy challenges, required as the industry transitions into a need for innovative technologies to achieve net zero. Graduates will be prepared to apply their expertise in both existing and emerging energy and power industries, with a strong emphasis on sustainability. You may also choose to pursue a career in research and development to enhance and create new technologies.
The course integrates advanced concepts in power electronic converter systems, smart grids, and sustainability. Additionally, you will develop skills in research planning, communication, strategy, and management, ensuring a balance between technical expertise and sustainable systems management. You will cover key areas such as sustainability for engineers, environmental impact, advanced thermos-fluid systems, and renewable energy systems. The curriculum also includes advanced processing methods and AI-driven optimization for the process industries.
This two-year degree with Industrial Practice is an innovative combination of theory and practice. You'll have the chance to put your learning into action through an individual project, followed by a placement with a relevant employer.
