Designed for non-registered healthcare practitioners, this two-year Master’s degree course will give you the skills and experience to launch a rewarding career in this essential profession.
You will learn about the holistic needs of people from early adulthood through to geriatrics.
As you progress, you will develop the skills to assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate evidence-based care to promote the health and wellbeing of adults with acute and chronic conditions.
Please note, this course is not open to international students at this time.

You will be taught by qualified nurses, doctors and allied health professionals, many of whom continue to work in clinical practice. Their mix of academic expertise and real‑world experience creates a rich and supportive learning environment, helping you become a confident and capable nurse.
We have strong links with Welsh health boards and a wide network of health and social care partners. This means you will have access to high‑quality clinical placements in both urban and rural settings, gaining varied and meaningful practice experience throughout your training.
If you can commit to working in Wales for 18 months after graduation, you may be eligible to have your tuition fees fully covered through the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership.
This MSc is also unique: it is the only pre‑registration MSc Nursing programme in Wales delivered over two years, enabling graduates from any discipline to begin a career in nursing and prepare to apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Our academic staff are qualified nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, many of whom are also practising clinicians, providing an exceptional combination of theoretical rigour, professional insight, and practical expertise.
We have very strong links with Welsh health boards, opening up clinical placement opportunities for you in a variety of settings in both urban and rural locations.
