Summary
Laparoscopic surgery is a technically demanding area of medicine and few people have the necessary expertise to work in this area. This course allows you to learn complex skills that are in high demand.
Using our virtual learning platform – which has been specially developed to teach laparoscopic surgery and bowel anastomosis – you’ll be able to tailor your learning to build your confidence and master essential surgical skills.
You’ll receive a ‘take-home’ simulator, instruments, sutures, practice jigs and a virtual reality headset so you can gain regular hands-on practice at home.
As well as these key practical skills, you’ll develop a clear understanding of the research process, including critical appraisal and how to present work for publication.
To complete the programme, you’ll be expected to have internet access, a smartphone to use our virtual reality applications and a webcam.
