What’s it like to live and study in Wales?
Whilst studying is important, there’s also plenty of things to do in Swansea when you want to relax…
If you love to embrace the outdoors then you can enjoy activities such as surfing on our beautiful Gower beaches, climbing, hiking in the welsh mountains (Pen y Fan is only an hour’s drive away) and exploring waterfalls.
Don’t fancy braving the elements? We have a huge array of shops, two bowling alleys, indoor mini golf, gyms, a brand new indoor climbing centre, and regular farmers markets as well as many other hidden gems to discover.
You can immerse yourself into Welsh culture and enjoy our Welsh cakes, local ales, Welsh breakfasts (ever heard of lava bread?), and can even have a go at learning the Welsh language.
Here, a Swansea University student gives a glimpse into what life is like living and studying in Wales.
