University of Pretoria launches online Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health

University of PretoriaThe University of Pretoria in South Africa has launched a fully online Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health.

This online PgDip in Public Health is designed for working professionals to gain knowledge and skills to enable them to contribute to strengthening health systems. Once they have gained the qualification the student should be able to apply public health knowledge, tools, and skills in solving complex problems in healthcare by using a systems approach and evidence-based interventions. The role of the environment and its influence in the control of diseases will also be explored as part of this course. The minimum period of study for the PgDip in Public Health is one year and eight months.

This is the University of Pretoria’s (UP) first fully online accredited program and it has been through the UPOnline initiative. UPOnline enables postgraduate students to study online while taking advantage of UP’s 112+ years of experience. It has dedicated facilitators and contactable staff ready to help, motivate and assist with any queries. UPOnline courses are designed to be highly interactive learning environments.
