University College Dublin ranks well globally for sustainability
University College Dublin (UCD) has ranked well globally for sustainability in the latest Times Higher Education Impact Rankings.
UCD placed 34th in these prestigious international rankings, which assess universities against the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals. This position reflects the university’s commitment to advancing sustainability with respect to research, education, campus operations and external engagement. Commitment to ‘Creating a Sustainable Global Society’ is one of the four strategic themes in UCD’s future strategy.
In these recent rankings UCD was also placed first in Ireland in three of the individual rankings:
Decent work and Economic Growth (Goal 8)
Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (Goal 9)
Partnerships for the Goals (Goal 17)
