Fully-funded Masters in Food Systems launched by leading European universities

EIT FoodSix leading European universities are launching a Masters in Food Systems in September 2019, with the first cohort of students to be funded by EITFood.

EITFood Community is a European Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) which was created to bring together universities, research labs and companies in the food ecosystem. The universities involved in EITFood are Queen’s University, Belfast*; University of Hohenheim; University of Madrid; University of Reading; University of Turin; and the University of Warsaw.

The MFS is a two-year degree program promoting a deep knowledge of the food system as an integrated value chain. Each student will choose their ‘home’ university where they will spend semester one. Then semester two and three will be spent at two of the other universities studying specific areas of the food system. In the final semester, the student will go back to their home university to complete a partner-mentored project or thesis work. The resulting degree will be awarded by the home university, and areas of study include primary production, food processing, consumer sciences, food production, logistics and digitalization.

If you have a bachelors degree in a food-related discipline and are interested in the future of the food system, plus would love the experience of studying at three different European universities, then this is the perfect postgrad program for you. It is a great opportunity to receive training on the food system and tackle real-world problems, and get involved in entrepreneurship activities.

Find out more and apply for the MFS program now, and remember that the first cohort will be funded by EITFood.
