Barcelona GSE attracts 18 companies from around Europe to recruit young talent

Barcelona GSELast month, the Career Services Consulting Day, brought masters students into contact with the headhunters from leading companies such as The Brattle Group, Nera Economics Consulting and Oxford Economics.

Representatives from 18 of the most important economic consultants in Europe came to Barcelona on 22 October 2018, to meet and recruit students from the Masters in Economics, Finance and Data Science of the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics.

Different presentations and workshops were held throughout the day, and former students also took part by sharing their experiences in the working world with those still at the School. In its first 11 years, the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics has formed a community of more than 2,000 alumni with high rates of employment both in the professional and academic sectors; 93% of the Class of 2017 got a job within six months of graduation.

The Barcelona Graduate School of Economics offers three masters degrees with seven specialised programs, as well as a Summer School and several continuing education courses throughout the year. It was created in 2006 by the economist Andreu Mas-Colell in order to pave the way for frontier economic research established in Barcelona, with the aim of competing with the great institutions of international prestige in economic research.
