Summary

This part-time course is designed to prepare nurses, midwives, physiotherapists, podiatrists and therapeutic radiographers to practise as independent prescribers, meeting standards set by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), and the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).

The programme is a pathway through the MSc in Advanced Practice, enabling you to qualify as a non-medical prescriber alongside a programme of study that will develop your critical analysis and personal reflection skills.

You can take this courses as a stand-alone postgraduate certificate or as part of the MSc Advanced Practice Non-medical Prescribing.

Distinctive features: - This is an inter-disciplinary programme, meaning that you will learn alongside nurses, midwives, physiotherapists, podatrists and therapeutic radiographers.

  • The programme prepares professionals as independent/supplementary prescribers and to meet the relevant standards set by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
