Awesome Blogs Every Postgraduate Student Should Read

One of the best ways to stay up to date with all the postgrad news and events  is by following blogs.

There's a blog out there for everything, and a whole host of them are solely dedicated to postgraduates! So, once you've had your daily read of the Postgrad Blog why don't you check out these other blogs.

Grad Guide Blog Offering information, insights and open discussions on all things postgraduate, this is a superb blog that makes for compelling reading. The Grad Guide Blog is run by Chris Hall and what makes it so awesome is that it is written for graduates, by graduates, making it relevant and relatable. From student living advice to postgraduate interview tips, this blog has it covered.

Oh That TV Blog If you are looking for a little light relief during your postgraduate studies and want to see what’s been going on in the world of entertainment, check out Scott Bryan’s hilarious site, ‘Oh That TV Blog’. As well as insightful reviews on the latest TV programs and ideas on what’s worth watching on the box, there are some zany and fun posts detailing some of the crazy random projects and challenges that Scott likes to get involved with. One of the most famous of his challenges was to try and fulfil goals that he set himself at aged 14!

Steve Bromley’s UX Blog If you are involved in any tech-based postgraduate course, or you simply love gaming, computers and technology in general, Steve Bromley’s blog is the place to go to check out what’s hot and what’s not in the tech world. Covering a wide spectrum of games, software, books and websites, Steve will give you the low down on all you need to know to get by in your studies – complete with loads of useful ‘how to’ guides.

Nielson Cerbolles Calling all London-based postgraduate students – this blog is for you! Nielson Cerbolles has created an incredibly funny and observant blog that captures the essence of London life as seen through the eyes of a student. With a particular interest in journalism, social networking and hyper local news, he explores London and documents his exciting and sometimes bizarre experiences along the way.

Pope And Swift If you are fed up of reading the same old sports coverage and reportage from the mainstream media, head on over to this blog. Pope and Swift are the pseudonyms of two incredibly talented and witty sports journalists who like to report the latest sports news and events, and they certainly enjoy telling it how it is. It’s refreshing to hear from a voice that is not constrained by company policy and politics. From football and cricket to the Olympics, you won’t hear the ‘real’ sports news being told anywhere else.

The Popscener If you like music (and let’s face it, who doesn’t), The Popscener is going to be a definite hit. This blog comes from James Lachno, who has a passion for music and a gift for sharing his knowledge and insights with the world. From undiscovered new bands to some of the old classics that everyone loves to sing along to, Popscener discusses it all. With a cynical view of the music business as well as lots of wit and humour, James keeps us up to date with what is happening in the world of music.

Don't forget you can also check out our very own  Postgrad Blog ! We regularly post about all things postgraduate, from confidence-building tips and ideas for boosting motivation to finding the right university for you and studying abroad.
