This course will help you if you want to found a new venture, champion new businesses or products within an organisation, or sustain a social enterprise. You'll learn how to create value and sustain growth through entrepreneurial action and innovation.
We'll prepare you to join the next generation of responsible leaders. You'll learn to consider the implications of social and environmental factors when creating ventures and growth initiatives.
This course goes beyond creating a new ventures. You'll gain the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to take decisive action, regardless of your career path. You'll graduate as an entrepreneurial-minded individual equipped with the skills to identify, build and lead viable business opportunities in any sector, country, or context.
You'll be able to apply academic knowledge to real-world projects, including:

Working on the challenges a social enterprise faces

Conducting your research project on a real entrepreneurial or innovative challenge from a selected organisation.
Our experienced faculty are here to help you become venture founders, innovation champions and managers. And you'll have access to a dedicated support ecosystem through the University's Entrepreneurship team and the Sussex Innovation Centre.
You can meet venture founders and join start-up competitions. You can also gain access to dedicated mentorship, workshops and networking opportunities. Both during your course and for three years after graduation, you'll have our career support and access to business accelerator competitions including Startup Sussex. know as soon as possible.

You’ll also increase your awareness of ethics and responsible business practices. You’ll be able to reflect on ethical and moral issues in entrepreneurship and innovation.
You’ll learn from and network with visiting speakers. These include entrepreneurs running successful and innovative social and commercial enterprises. You’ll also benefit from our close collaboration with the Sussex Innovation Centre, the University’s Entrepreneurship team and local organisations that offer strategic advice for entrepreneurs, start-ups and innovative growing companies.
