The MSc in Engineering Management is designed to prepare the next generation of engineering leaders with a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen.
Become a professional engineer who can manage large-scale projects, think strategically and drive innovation in a rapidly changing engineering landscape.
On our MSc in Engineering and Technology Management, we create the leaders of the future who can combine technical and problem-solving skills with business acumen. It will make you highly employable as there is huge global demand for people with a knowledge of engineering-focused business management.
You will learn about managing supply chains and teams, dealing with operational risks and exploring sustainability and ethical leadership. The hands-on course involves business simulations where you could be making financial decisions and exploring new markets for products and services.
You’ll also develop project management skills to help prepare you for a wide range of big technical projects. And building on your engineering knowledge, we cover areas such as engineering systems quality and operations as well.
The course brings together specialist staff from our Engineering Department and Staffordshire Business School. It means you’ll learn from research-active experts whose professional experience spans a variety of fields.
With a strong industry focus, the MSc meets Engineering Council competencies. We also work with industry leaders, who provide real-world examples and challenges. There is the opportunity to undertake a placement year too.
On successful completion of study, we will issue the following award: MSc Engineering and Technology Management
