Summary
Highly qualified engineers are much sought after in this important industry for the UK and worldwide. With high technical content, this course will prepare you for the fast-developing area of engineering.
You’ll gain skills in the major engineering functions allowing you to work in a senior technical or project management role within industry.
Your final thesis can be chosen to suit your specific career aspirations. We can also connect you with local engineering companies.
Our modern workshop facilities include specialist mechanical and thermodynamic laboratory support, a design studio with over 70 workstations, manufacturing facilities including CNC machining, rapid prototyping systems and a fully equipped test laboratory. You’ll also have the opportunity to use a wide range of software tools for design and simulation.
On successful completion of study, we will issue the following award: MSc Mechanical Engineering and Sustainable Energy Technologies
