The MRes Law will support you in developing an original and well-conceived PhD proposal, which you will later be able to use when seeking admission into doctoral programmes.
This programme places emphasis on doctrinal, theoretical and contextual study of law.
Advance your research skills with the support of experienced academics. You'll be in good company: 99% of our research is of international standing. (REF 2021, combining 4, 3 and 2* submissions – Law.)
Offering ideal preparation for PhD studies, this programme will enable you to develop advanced skills in legal research methods and analysis of law and legal issues. You will be part of a very small cohort of high-calibre students, undertaking sustained training in methodological approaches to legal research.
