Summary
Prepare for a research career in the agricultural and agri-environment sectors – or for doctoral studies – with our MSc by Research in Agriculture, Ecology and Environment master’s degree.
Study at the UK’s leading university for environmental and ethical performance (the University of Reading is ranked 1st in the People and Planet University League, 2023/24).
You’ll gain a multi-disciplinary appreciation of the underlying environmental, social and economic issues surrounding contemporary agricultural systems, and receive rigorous training in research methods and statistical analyses.
You will then build upon this knowledge by designing your own extended research project and have the opportunity to address the research questions that you are passionate about, with close support from researchers in Departments of Sustainable Land Management, Crop Science or Animal Sciences.

Students may join immediately after their undergraduate degree, or after some years of employment to enhance career prospects by acquiring further skills. |
