The MSc Accounting, Finance and Management will provide you with a thorough understanding of the role of accounting and finance in organisational management. You will acquire the specialist knowledge and skills to deal with complex accounting and finance issues and handle them effectively in a range of management contexts.
The course features a combination of modules which allow you to focus on areas of interest that relate to your professional needs. You will develop an understanding of the main theories, models, frameworks, and techniques of management. You will also learn the main data analysis techniques needed to take informed decisions in modern corporations. You will be provided with a stimulating and intellectually challenging learning experience, along with rigorous teaching in the concepts of financial management and accounting and general management tools and techniques.
As well as specific knowledge of financial management and accounting, this degree will develop your ability to analyse and evaluate management problems and make sound strategic decisions. It will also develop your practical transferable skills including the ability to conduct independent research , both online and offline; time management, verbal and written communication, presenting and planning.
The course will prepare you for management level accounting and finance careers in public or private sector organisations, or an academic career in this area.
