Learn practical skills by designing and developing new food products. Your products will be commercially relevant and conform to relevant regulations. Our course uses real-world case studies which will equip you with the food safety auditing skills needed for the workplace. You'll have the opportunity to gain professional experience through work-based placements.
This course is designed to cover both the research and development and food safety operational needs of the food industry. This bridges the gap between safe food production and product innovation.
Learn from world-leading food safety researchers, alongside other nutrition and health professionals. Our course prepares you for a fulfilling career in the food supply chain, enforcement, research or education.
As part of your studies, you can boost your CV with two optional Royal Society for Public Health Level 2 qualifications in HACCP and Food Safety. They are included on specific modules and are currently covered in the cost of your tuition fees.

Many of our graduates go on to pursue managerial or supervisory roles in technical, quality control and assurance activities within the food supply chain. We have graduates working at international and local food production companies, logistics, storage and distribution, retailers, and hospitality.
Others worked for local food safety authorities or have progressed to work for national or international food authorities. Our graduates working in health, protection and regulatory affairs are regulating and monitoring the production, processing, distribution, sale and import of food to ensure the safety of our food supply chain.
