Course Overview
Our MSc Facilities Management (FM) has been designed following huge demand for facilities managers both in the UK and abroad. The course is developed in such a way that it draws on FM practice and academia and will prepare you for workplace challenges.
The MSc Facilities Management allows you to gain theoretical and practical knowledge about the discipline of FM. Our dedicated team of staff will provide you with practical training on the application of related software for the management of hard and soft FM services.
The research seminar that is organised by the department enables you to apply statistical software and independently conduct research in an area of interest. In addition to preparing you to work in diverse FM sectors, you are also taught issues about the control of facilities – associated infections in healthcare establishments.
With such level of knowledge, training and support, you are expected to graduate with employability skills that would enable you to gain employment in companies in the UK and abroad.

You’ll have the chance to undertake a professional placement in industry (this will extend your study time by six to twelve months).

As a proactive Facilities Manager, you’ll be able to develop an FM plan that carters for the operational and tactical needs of the organisation, contributing to its strategic direction.

You will apply FM tools highlighting the need for extra investment, measure performance and demonstrate value for money to the relevant stakeholders.

Equipped with ICT and BIM packages, you’ll acquire skills to be able to work in companies at the cutting-edge, applying technology to increase performance and overall profit.
