Summary
Our MSc Financial Management course will help provide you with a strong grounding in the theory and practices of accounting and finance in the corporate sector. The course is part of the CFA Institute as a University Affiliation Programme which helps invest in professionals just like you looking to expand their knowledge whilst reaching professional standards of practice.
With this course, you’ll become adept at analysing financial information and adopting an international perspective as you learn more about financial management across different cultures. You’ll develop key professional and research skills as well as an understanding of ethical business practice.
The course is broken down into modules such as corporate performance analysis, financial markets and risk management and valuation. At the end of your course, you’ll then do a final research project of your choice; either a dissertation or a business-based project.

| Entry requirements | The programme is designed for graduates from any discipline with a strong interest in the subject. However, we do recommend that you have a basic knowledge and understanding of this area or business studies. You will have a minimum of a 2:2 Honours degree or international equivalent. In order to ensure our students have a rich learning and student experience, most of our programmes have a mix of domestic and international students. We reserve the right to close applications early to either group, if application volumes suggest that this blend cannot be achieved. In addition, existing undergraduate students at the University of Hull have a guaranteed ‘Fast Track’ route to any postgraduate programme, subject to meeting the entry criteria.
