Summary
The development of this new combined Knowledge & Practice programme is a major benefit for Clinical Psychologists in the UK looking to develop specialist knowledge and skills in the field. Our programme has an exceptionally strong reputation for the standard of training we offer, but to date this has been limited to the underpinning knowledge component of the British Psychological Society (BPS) Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN). The new combined programme adds the clinical practice component to our existing BPS accredited programme.

Lectures are given by subject specialists meaning that knowledge is always up to date, with many of those delivering lectures being research leaders in the field of clinical neuropsychology and related disciplines.

Designed to provide eligibility for entry to the BPS Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists.

Experience the opportunity to learn from both lecturers and peers, and to develop links with colleagues from around the UK, Ireland and other parts of the world.
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE A range of learning and teaching approaches will be used including: lectures, tutorials, clinical case discussion, small group problem-based learning and online learning resources.
Core Courses Acquired Brain Injury And Clinical Neuropsychology Clinical Neuropsychology Practice Context and Perspectives in Clinical Neuropsychology Degenerative Conditions and Clinical Neuropsychology Epilepsy, Seizure And Sleep Disorders And Clinical Neuropsychology Neurosciences For Clinical Neuropsychology Paediatric Neurological Conditions And Clinical Neuropsychology Professional Issues And Research Design In Clinical Neuropsychology Stroke and Clinical Neuropsychology
This programme is designed to provide training in the underpinning knowledge and practice of Clinical Neuropsychology in order to meet the requirements for entry to the British Psychological Society Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists.

| Entry requirements | Applicants must have a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) or Doctorate of Counselling Psychology degree from the UK. The Doctorate degree must meet the requirements to register with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). Applicants with a qualification in Clinical Psychology from outside the UK may be admitted if they can demonstrate that they are eligible for registration with the HCPC. All applicants must have work experience as a Clinical Psychologist. Applicants with a degree in Counselling Psychology must complete the Admissions of Counselling Psychologists form using the linked pro-forma. Admissions of Counselling Psychologists Form Applicants who trained in Clinical Psychology outside the UK who are not eligible for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council would normally apply for the MSc Applied Neuropsychology programme. |
