Summary
The demand for infection control courses has increased in recent years due to contagious outbreaks such as MRSA, swine flu and Ebola highlighting the need for more effective infection control. This PG Dip Infection Control is designed to equip nurses and other healthcare professionals with a comprehensive understanding of infectious disease control and prevention in hospital, social care and community settings.
The course delves into key topics within infection control including microbiology, immunology, public health and communicable disease control. You will gain a thorough understanding of the nature of communicable disease and how to develop strategies for surveillance, control and prevention. At the end of the course, you will be able to continue your studies and advance onto the full Masters programme.
