Master of Science - MSc (PG)
Summary
Overview In the first semester, you’ll explore cutting-edge AI concepts and digital technologies whilst developing your research skills for use in the second semester. You’ll also have options to study digital business transformation, cybersecurity for business, and digital business management.
In the second semester, you can choose between a dissertation, an industry-sponsored project, or a selection of elective modules tailored to your interests and career goals.
A dissertation allows you to demonstrate your academic ability by conducting research that contributes to the fast-changing field of how businesses use the latest software and AI. Through this process, you’ll strengthen your analytical and critical thinking skills, preparing you for further study or the workplace.
You’ll also have the option of doing an industry sponsored project that offers applied business challenges and AI experience. You’ll work with businesses to harness your theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios, and you’ll acquire highly valuable work experience to help build a professional network and develop the skills necessary to excel in the workplace. If you opt for the industry sponsored project, you’ll work directly with clients, understand their needs, and build digital and AI solutions to help change their business outcomes.
As an alternative to a dissertation or industry-sponsored project, you may choose to deepen your operational and governance skills. You’ll learn how to select AI applications for business challenges, how to navigate ethical and regulatory issues in data use, and master project management methodologies to successfully lead complex digital transformation initiatives from conception to delivery.
In the third semester, you’ll learn how to use AI extensively to specify software or code using generative AI to match digital transformation, digitalise supply chains, and apply AI responsibly in business contexts.
