MSc
Summary
This pathway is designed for those with an interest in teaching and learning, and working with learners in educational settings across the sector. It is particularly suitable if you already hold master's-level credits from a teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, and want to build on this foundation for your professional development.
In common with other MSc Education students, you will take a compulsory research methods unit and write a dissertation. You will take one other compulsory unit and can then choose the rest of your units from across the programmes offered by the school (where available). Your final choice of units can be made after consulting with tutors so that your choice is as coherent and useful as possible, as well as suiting your individual needs.
| Level | RQF Level 7 |
|---|---|
| Entry requirements | You will typically need an upper second-class honours degree or an international equivalent in any discipline. If you are currently completing a degree, we understand that your final grade may be higher than the interim grades or module/unit grades you have achieved during your studies to date. We will consider your application if your interim grades are currently slightly lower than the programme's entry requirements and may make you an aspirational offer. This offer would be at the standard level, so you would need to achieve the standard entry requirements by the end of your degree. Specific module requirements would still apply. See international equivalent qualifications on the International Office website. |
