Summary
The radiography of paediatric patients forms a part of the daily workload of a huge proportion of radiographers worldwide. Some work in specialised paediatric environments and others accommodate this population alongside their adult patients. This unique graduate course is designed to meet the needs of both – offering practical considerations in order for radiographers to achieve the best possible standards of practice in this area.
This course is targeted towards radiographers currently involved in the everyday practice of paediatric radiography and interested in enhancing their learning in this area of imaging. Material is delivered either via a blended learning approach; a mix of online (providing a flexible approach to accommodate busy health care professionals and clinical site planning) and taught lectures, which will be delivered over four UCD based days or can be delivered wholly online for those unable to attend the taught days. Participants will be updated in advanced practice in paediatric radiography, delivered by experts in the field.
