Summary
A Master of Laws (LLM) in International Business Law is a postgraduate degree designed for law and non-law graduates to enhance their academic legal knowledge. This internationally recognised Master’s focuses on developing an in-depth knowledge of International Business Law and can open up pathways to careers such as business owner, shipping industry specialist, legal specialist, maritime governance, and more. We have developed this course to put legal business practices into the context of the global marketplace, giving you the knowledge and skills to work effectively within international corporations.
The LLM International Business Law is an innovative, flexible programme designed for law and non-law graduates who would like to gain essential detailed knowledge of international trade and business from a legal perspective.
This course will introduce you to the five main areas of international trade law: international sales of goods; e-commerce; financing and insurance; the transportation of cargo; and dispute resolution. You will explore international sales law with particular reference to the 1980 Convention on the International Sale of Goods and standard trade terms such as INCOTERMS; the UNCITRAL Model Law on E-Commerce, harmonisation, electronic transactions and security issues; letters of credit; and choice of law.
