Summary

The MA Photography at the RCA brings together a cross disciplinary community of artists and writers working at the forefront of contemporary photographic practice and image making. Photography is understood broadly, encompassing still and moving image, publishing, performance, installation, social practice, sound, synthetic media, text, and writing. The programme combines practice, theory, and reception, encouraging you to explore the unknown, the speculative, and hybrid approaches. You will critically engage with both analogue and digital photography, examining sociopolitical issues, intercultural discourses, and modes of circulation and distribution. Supported by a faculty of artists, writers, and theorists, you will develop a reflective, conceptually rich, and professionally robust practice.

Please refer to the programme webpage for the most accurate and up-to-date information about the programme, its structure, modules and any updates or changes.
