Dr. Jonny Preis Dutra from Heriot-Watt University explores how everyday interactions, from public interfaces to digital services and apps, are shaped through user-centred design.

This webinar session will introduce the role of User Experience professionals and examine how their unique behaviours can help solve real-world problems, to highlight the growing relevance of UX across multiple industries.

As you seek to better understand customers and clients, this webinar will outline how technology and psychology inform user behaviour, and how these insights can support clearer and more effective design decisions. It will introduce core UX approaches such as usability testing, interaction design and prototyping in a concise, practical way.

You’ll also explore how user insights can be transformed into inclusive, real‑world solutions, offering a look at the strategic and creative thinking that underpins impactful UX work across different industries.
